Coaching and mentoring on the programme
Throughout the programme you will receive comprehensive support, feedback and have regular reviews.
A coach will be assigned to you based upon the current rotation within the programme whilst your own personal mentor will be available at any time for advice and help. The programme itself will operate under a dedicated resource within the HR team who will work with you to understand your interests and try to accommodate them into the programme and your development.
Salary and Benefits
Sims Metal Management offers a very competitive package to all their employees in terms of salaries, benefits and on-going training and development.
The annual salary for the Trainee Management Programme starts at £23,000 depending on qualifications and experience. However due to the requirement for flexibility from the trainee management programme, there is an additional flexibility allowance to cover the costs of travel and living arrangements of £2,400 per annum.
Post Trainee Management Programme
The programme should last between two and three years depending on the development rate of the individual. At the end of this period the company will endeavour to find the most suitable jobs for the individual. In some cases this will be so clearly identified that the individual will simply move across. In other cases where competition may exist, a job interview may be required.
Sims Metal Management is a rapidly developing business through its two divisions and support functions within Head Office. Its succession plans are currently targeted up to three years ahead, so all graduates of the programme will be successfully placed.
